Intern Wanted!

The St Paul’s Academic Achievement Scholarship is looking for a Publicity and Communications Intern to assist us with publicity and fundraising efforts. If you are interested, please send us an email with your resume. This internship is open to students and non-students.

We are looking for a talented, interested and self-driven intern to join our small administrative team and support the organization’s publicity efforts. You may be asked to: write press releases, respond to press requests, perform graphic design and video editing, support our social media presence, and write blog posts. You will have independence and room for creativity. You will learn the real-life skills required to work in a small organization, become familiar with the non-profit sector, and have an opportunity to use your knowledge and skills to make possible the education of young Kenyan students.

As 100% of our donations go to funding the sponsored students’ education, this internship is unpaid.

The administrative team has members in Kenya, China, Australia, and Oregon, so the majority of your work will be done remotely. The work load is variable but is unlikely to exceed 5 or 10 hours per week. This is an opportunity to join a growing organization at an early stage. Your accomplishments will be largely defined by your own ambition. Your skills and efforts will significantly impact our success and will be deeply appreciated.

Requirements: •    Dedicated, self-motivated and creative worker •    Strong writing ability •    Experience or education in Journalism, Public Relations or Advertising •    Graphic design, video editing, and social media skills are desired but not required

To apply, please send us an email at stpaulsscholarship@gmail.com with your resume and a letter of interest. Preference will be given to applications received by June 30.
